Sue Swain

Sue is a qualified conservationist with some 25 years experience in the field, where her focus was on environmental education (EE) and included running the education programme at the Gold Fields EE Centre at Cape Point, doing social ecology in Addo Elephant National Park, and serving as Stewardship Extension Officer in the Garden Route. Sue’s passion and expertise lies in the field of biomimicry and she is an experienced biomimicry educator and practitioner.

Sue is the founder of BioWise, a non profit company that promotes the practice of biomimicry. She has presented to a great diversity of groups including government officials, special interest groups, corporates and students. She is inspired by nature’s genius and believes passionately in the value of learning from nature’s models, processes and systems as a means to rediscovering our niche, redeveloping a sense of purpose and creating a future as a regenerative partner in the web of life.
